My Google Analytics hacks in MediaWiki and WordPress appear to be missing

Basically, I installed the wrong version of a security plugin (Role Manager, Owen Winkler – only for WP 2.0) on the wrong version of WordPress (2.5.1) and got my own Admin account locked out of Plugin Management (which I needed to properly uninstall the bad plugin and install the good one). Read further to know the sequence of events, the problem I caused myself, and how I got out of it.

Upgraded WordPress to current version

Even more tweaking

With even more hacking, I implemented the image overlay thing the Cutline authors did on their blog. This floats another image on top of the randomly changing header.

More Theme Tweaking

I successfully implemented the “Totally Random Header Images for Cutline” feature, with a little hacking. I made my header images largely out of my own photos and completely out of freely available images, and I changed the cycling pool from 5 to 9.
