Just came out of limited Alpha into open Beta.
I’ve installed it on my personal Blog and I’ll do so on my professional Blog as well, and look into the additional gadgets.
I did screw up the personal blog a little by trying to install as a widget, and ended up just editing my theme’s Sidebar.php to insert the widget manually. This was my own fault and not the blogger’s (Don’s) whose instructions I linked. I think my prior hackings of my own Sidebar.php are what made using Widgets make my sidebar disappear.
Yes, I’m a Google Slut.

Malcolm,
What happened when you tried to install it as a widget? I hope my instructions (that you link to in your post) didn’t cause you any trouble. If they did please let me know!
Don,
The rest of my sidebar disappeared, I assume because using a widget somehow kept my theme from using its normal (hacked by me) Sidebar.php.
When I have time, I will try to actually use widgets and stop using Sidebar.php for the entire sidebar or figure out what of my hacks are broken. I think in a normal non-hacked Cutline theme or other standard Wordpress theme, your instructions would be fine.
It is totally okay. As a rather geeky type who will hack his borrowed Wordpress themes, I assume full responsibility for my silliness.
Sorry to make it sound like it was your fault. I was rather rushed when I posted.
Don,
Just tweaked my Widgets to include everything I’d manually hacked into my Sidebar. Following your instructions worked perfectly.
Thanks Malcolm, now I see. I’m glad you’ve got it working with the widgets too. I should probably update my post to tell people to watch out for that.

Don,
Onliy update if you think it’s necessary. I want to take full responsibility for my own hacking actions.
